Why I built Sprkt
There's a kind of freedom you only feel on a bike. Early mornings, the quiet of empty roads, the miles only you and it know about.
And then there's the moment that breaks it. Halfway up a climb, a sound you don't recognize. You stop. You look at the bike. And you realize you have no idea how long you've had that chain.
A bike isn't just metal and rubber. It's the quiet partner of every ride, and it deserves more than being remembered only when something creaks.
That's why I started building Sprkt - pronounced "Sprocket". I got tired of relying on memory, of scattered notes on my phone, of never quite knowing what had already been replaced and what was still due. I wanted to open an app and have the answer right there, clear: no guessing, no accounts to create, no clutter.
Built solo, with attention to the details I use every day, for anyone who, like me, wants to ride without that noise in their head.
Ride more. Worry less.
